ABACC participates in a symposium on nuclear energy in Latin America
30/09/2026ABACC participated, on August 27, in the symposium “Current Scenario for Developing Nuclear Energy in Latin America”, organized by the Latin American Section of the American Nuclear Society (LAS/ANS), in Rio de Janeiro.
The event brought together experts and representatives from the nuclear sector to discuss topics such as “Current Worldwide Situation for Nuclear Energy Usage,” “Situation of Latin American Nuclear Energy Programs,” and “Micro and Small Modular Reactors.”
Representing ABACC, Secretary Agustín Arbor González participated in the plenary session “Nuclear Materials Control,” contributing to discussions on nuclear material control and safeguards.
ABACC’s participation reaffirms its commitment to knowledge exchange and regional cooperation on safeguards and the development of nuclear energy in Latin America.
